MOUSE MADE 'TRANSPARENT'

IN A MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH SCIENTISTS IN US  TRANSFORMED A MOUSE IN   TO A "TRANSPARENT" CREATURE  THAT CAN GIVE THEM A  CLEARER VIEW OF THE BODY TISSUES FOR RESEARCH. THE BODY OF THE EXPERIMENTAL MOUSE HAS BEEN  RENDERED  TRANSPARENT,   USING  A  TECHNIQUE   CALLED  "CLARITY",WHICH  INVOLVES USE OF WATER BASED GEL AND DETERGENTS.RESEARCHERS INJECTED THE CHEMICALGEL  AND           DETERGENTS DIRECTLY INTO THE RHODENT'S BLOODSTREAM AND WITHIN     TWO TO THREE DAYS ORGANS LIKE KIDNEYS,HEART,LUNGS AND INTESTINE TURNED TRANSPARENT.ONCE TISSUE IS STORED IN THIS  WAY SCIENTISTS       WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN CELLS, AS WELL AS THE STRUCTURES AND MOLECULES INSIDE CELLS.

HUMAN ID CARDS

Humans have an inbuilt genetic id card. The Human-LeucocyteAntigen(HLA)     constitutes a    biological signature for the body-a group of  molecules that makes it  possible  to   distinguish  one individual from another at the cellular level.

EXPERIMENTAL DRUG TO TREAT EBOLA- 'WHO' SANCTIONED

'WHO' SANCTIONED THE USE OF THE EXPERIMENTAL DRUG, 'ZMapp'  TO FIGHT AGAINST EBOLA.THE  DRUG USES A NEW METHOD OF PASSIVE IMMUNISATION  BY INSERTING GENETICALLY ALTERED EBOLA PROTEIN IN TO TOBACO LEAVES.
